This position is a full time position, averaging 37.5 hours a week.

The Grande Prairie Friendship Centre is seeking a full time Cook for our Community Kitchen. The goal of the kitchen is to provide three hot meals per day for anyone in need. Our intention is to serve our community with dignity, respect, and compassion while proving a safe and secure family-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and three months related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.​

• Prior experience is strongly preferred.

• Valid driver's license.

• Food safety training.

• Cleared Criminal Record Check and Cleared Youth and Child Intervention Check

• Valid First Aid.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.

• Serve meals in a pleasant, efficient, and professional manner.

• Assist with dishes and general clean up.

• Assist with programs and special event needs when required.

• Operate Kitchen equipment including dishwasher, slicer, mixer, etc.
