Qualifications:

To apply for this job, you must have:

• Child care certification: Level 1, 2 or 3 is required

• Valid First Aid Certification

• Cleared criminal Record Check (CRIM) and Child Intervention Check (CYIM)

• Have working knowledge and/or experience of speech and language services and supports, or willing to learn

• Comfortable working with families and referring agencies with children needing extra supports

• Experience working with children in a childcare setting

• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

• Warm and empathetic attitude towards children and families

• Actively encourages and engages in meaningful interactions with children

• Conducts self professionally as an individual, within a team and with families

• Has knowledge and appreciation of the Indigenous culture

• Be available to work between the hours of 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Monday to Friday with ocassional Frida
