Family Violence Prevention Program Support Worker

Kikinaw Outreach Program – Grande Prairie Friendship Centre

 

Do you want to support Indigenous individuals and families impacted by violence, trauma, and survival? We are looking for a compassionate, grounded person to join our outreach team as a Family Violence Prevention Program (FVPP) Support Worker.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide trauma-informed, culturally safe outreach to those facing gender-based, family, or partner violence

  • Offer safety planning, healing bundles, and warm referrals

  • Build trust with unhoused individuals, families, and 2SLGBTQ+ community members

  • Work alongside Elders, cultural staff, and support teams

You Are:

  • Experienced in outreach, harm reduction, or GBV work

  • Culturally humble and community-minded

  • Able to hold space, build trust, and respond with care

  • Familiar with Indigenous teachings and local supports
