Annual Orange Shirt Day 5km Walk/Run
On September 30, we will walk, run and be together.
This day is about more than wearing orange. It is a day to honour Survivors, remember the children who never returned home, acknowledge the ongoing impacts of residential schools, and continue the work on Truth and Reconciliation.
Every step is an opportunity to remember, to learn, and to move forward together.
Orange shirts will be available to purchase and they are $30 and unique medals will be available for $10 for participants.

Annual Sisters in Spirit Walk & Vigil
The Grande Prairie Friendship Centre and the NWP On-Campus Friendship Centre Circle of Indigenous Students invite you to join us as we honour and remember Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit People.
Sunday, October 4

Spirit Sisters Rock at Northwestern Polytechnic
We will walk from the Spirit Sisters Rock to the Grande Prairie Friendship Centre’s Traditional Healing Garden, where lunch will be shared following the walk.
Traditional dancers (all ages) are warmly invited to join us and dance in honour of those we remember. For more information, please email lindsyconey@gpfriendship.com.

Evening with the Mayor
The Grande Prairie Friendship Centre invites our members and the community to join us for an Evening with the Mayor—an evening of good food, meaningful conversation and community connection.
