Indigenous Elders Outreach

Aniskomohcikan is an Indigenous elders program that is run in partnership with the government of Canada's Reaching Home: Canada's Homelessness Strategy and Grande Prairie Friendship centre: Empowering Paths. We are here to address the complex & diverse needs of elders in the community by helping to navigate housing supports, food security, income, and social supports to sustain a healthy and happy lifestyle.​

Supports provided:

  • Transportation assistance for essential needs, including medical appointments, social activities, and grocery shopping.

  • Food Security support.

  • Housing

    • Assistance accessing homecare

    • Basic In-home support

    • Budgeting & Financial literacy

    • Housing Loss Prevention Support
